We’re closing in on turkey day, and here are some options I’ve received information about for dinner in area restaurants:
Dinner is served at Tre Piani in Forrestal Village (I’ll be there with my family again this year!), Noon to 6:00pm, $49 per person (less for kids). Their dinner last year was so good, heirloom turkey and all, that my family is still talking about it. Appetizers and desserts are served buffet style, while the main course is served at the table, family style. That was a nice way to handle it, and the traditional, mostly local (Cape May oysters!), menu, with lots of choices was a hit through and through. For reservations: 609-452-1515.
In New Brunswick, The Frog and The Peach serves TG dinner 1:00-7:00pm, a three-course prix fixe menu at $49 per person (less for kids). Selections from their regular menu also available, for those who don’t want turkey. You can’t go wrong at the F&P. Call 732-846-3216.
Down in Trenton, Thankgiving meets Italian at the Baldassari Regency from 1:00 to 4:00pm, their a la carte menu, which includes turkey with leek and sausage stuffing, sounds delicious. Call for reservations at 609.392.1280 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’re cooking for the holiday, don’t forget about all the wonderful local foods available at the Whole Earth Center, by the way. Organic vegetables, cheeses, meats, Bent Spoon artisan ice cream and Simply Nic’s shortbread squares, etc. Yum!
Have a great holiday everyone!
