I keep meaning to post this little piece about the good edamame hummus I’ve bought at Trader Joe’s.
It tastes as bright and fresh as that pretty green color would imply. And I’m not a fan of edamame normally (doesn’t taste bad, just not so interesting to me).
The baba ganoush to the left of the hummus isn’t bad, either, although it lacks the charred skin flavor I prize so highly.
The bread is a many-layered Middle Eastern flatbread I’d picked up at The Phoenician Market (608 Georges Rd., North Brunswick, 732-545-3915). Fat soaked and totally delicious. And then, of course, a little yogurt on the side.
