Okay, in June.
Winter was over, and I still had a canister of Trader Joe’s Wintry Blend coffee in the cupboard. Unlike other flavored coffees, which are made with (to me) harsh extracts, this one has whole spices ground up with the beans – cardamom, clove, pink and green peppercorns, a touch of cinnamon.
I loved it, and guess what – it makes a great iced coffee too, sort of like “chai coffee”! I switch to iced coffee in summer, and unlike winter when I take my coffee black-no-sugar, I like a little milk and sweetner in my iced coffee.
Wintry Blend hits the spot – wonder if they might make a summer version???
