This cute ruffly cake is from the Whole Earth Center. It is heart-shaped and chocolate with vanilla frosting. I wanted to take something to my father in Acorn Glen Assisted Living (and the wonderful staff who cares for him), so ordered this just before the weekend.
Picked it up today and rushed it right over there for them to enjoy in the afternoon or evening. Whenever I take a treat from the Whole Earth Center to anyone, it gets get rave reviews, so even though I didn’t get to taste this cake myself, I know it’ll be great – and made from wholesome ingredients. The baker (pastry chef, really, I would say!) told me that they should have some pecan/chocolate pies, too, early this week, for the holiday. Yum!
