And now for an off-topic post:
One of the best jobs I ever had was being the Event Coordinator at the long-gone Encore Books & Music store at the Princeton Shopping Center. What a privilege it was to work with writers from near and far on book events and readings. Many of the writers were poets, and I still think of some of them as “my poets” from the old days. Some have even become dear friends.
Now one of them, poet/playwright Judith McNally, is on dialysis with failing kidneys. You only need one, so if you can find it in your heart to even consider being a donor, please visit this page for information about donating and Judith’s work. There are never enough poets in this world of ours. Thank you and feel free to spread the word by any means at hand.
