Farmers Market season is nearly here

Farmers Market season is coming soon!

IMG_8267The fourteenth season for West Windsor Community Farmers Market starts on Saturday May 6 at 9:00am at the Vaughn Drive Commuter Lot in West Windsor (off Alexander Road). With sixteen regional farms, twelve artisan food and natural product vendors, weekly community groups, live music, special events and cooking demonstrations, the WWCFM continues to be New Jersey’s favorite farmers market* and place to spend Saturday mornings.

The market runs weekly, rain or shine from 9:00am1:00pm until the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Joining the WWCFM this season is Local 130 Seafood, advocates for responsibly raised domestic aquaculture, with offerings of fresh and local wild caught seafood.

Other markets will open until later in May or in June:

The downtown Princeton Farmers Market on Hinds Plaza begins on May 18 and runs every Thursday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Local food, live music & more, including the addition of Holly Jolly Jams this season.

The Pennington Farmers Market, at Rosedale MIlls (101 Route 31), Saturdays 9:00am-1:00pm, will open mid-May (check website, exact date tbd), and run through November.

The Montgomery Friends of Open Space Farmers Market opens June 3 and runs through October 28, Saturdays 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Village Shopper parking area, 1340 Rt. 206 Skillman, directly across 206 from Montgomery Cinema and Shop-Rite.

31 & Main ArtThe 31 & Main Farmers Market at the corner of Route 31 & Main Blvd. (edge of TCNJ campus), Ewing, opens Sunday, June 12, and will operate weekly on Sundays, 10:00am-2:00pm. (They’re adding Jams by Kim this year!)
