April 2 – at the Updike Farmstead at 354 Quaker Road, Princeton.
11:00am – “Talk With Your Farmer” with Jess Niederer of ChickadeeCreek Farm and Stanley Skeba of J & L Family Farm. The will share how they became farmers and how they are preparing for this next bountiful summer season. Judith K. Robinson, manager of the Princeton Farmers Market will moderate the discussion.
1:30pm – “Growing Your Own Vegetables” – the first in a series of three workshops taught by Judith K. Robinson on getting your garden going. info at 609-356-0558 These are two of the events which The Historical Society of Princeton has scheduled for its First Saturdays at the renovated Updike Farmstead.
April 14 -Princeton Farmers Market from 11:00am to 5:00pm in the community room of the Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton. This is the last of the indoor winter markets and will include crafters along with the farmers. On May 19 the outdoor weekly farmers markets will begin in the plaza.
