This is delicious! And it was so pretty, like sunshine in a bowl! I am not usually a cold cereal person, but I couldn’t resist trying this.
I noticed Seitenbacher Müsli # 3 at McCaffrey’s market. Sure, there were other numbers, but 3 beckoned to me. “Pick me,” it whispered, “I am for active people and have 18 tasty ingredients.” Well, I do love tasty ingredients, so maybe the active part would rub off. And it looked far more interesting that the blandly beige müsli (or muesli) I usually saw.
And no wonder – it contains Whole Spelt Flakes, Rolled Oats, Barley Flakes, Corn Flakes, Dried Papaya, Dried Dates, Raisins, Soy Nuts, Banana Chips, Dried Apple, Dried Pineapple, Sunflower Kernels, Peanuts, Almonds, Cashews, Pumpkin Seeds, Dried Apricots, Strawberries. Whew! I am careful not to over-indulge, as the calories do add up. But a bowl of this in the morning and I am good until lunch.
This comes in sturdy foil bags, and do visit their website, it is….well, pretty amusing, with their Harry P. Fitness guy, and rigorous Germanic declarations. Too funny, I always think müsli has this cozy/fuzzy persona, but not on that website. I pick things up and put them down, if you catch my drift!
