August’s peach pie contest at the award-winning West Windsor Community Farmers Market was such a hit that they’re reprising it with an apple pie contest on Saturday, October 11.
Amateur bakers only and pre-registration is required. To register, for more details and rules, please email wwcfm@yahoo.com.Pies are due at the market at 10:30am with judging at 11:00am. First, Second and Third place winners will receive Market Bucks to be used as cash at the farmers market this season.
Judges include Yours Truly, plus Pat Tanner, Central New Jersey food writer and restaurant critic, and professional baker Karen Child (formerly, Village Bakery & Brick Farm Market).
