Small tarts & pies
The food and dining scene at the Princeton Shopping Center is about to get sweeter.
LiLLiPiES Bakery, a longtime fixture and favorite at area farmers’ markets and cafés, will open for business on July 1. Their location is on the Harrison Street side inside the central breezeway across from The Taco Truck. Summer hours will be 7:00 am-4:00 pm daily.
Chef/owner Jen Carson, known for showcasing local ingredients, has planned a diverse sweet and savory menu, so this is a also a place where you can have breakfast or lunch.
Sweet offerings include classic American dessert favorites such as Cowboy Cookies (I love those!), Fudgy Brownies, and special occasion cakes, as well as signature LiLLiPiES, named one of the Top Ten Pies Coast to Coast by Food Network.

Potato Rosemary Focaccia
Savory selections include long-fermented sourdough breads, breakfast and lunchtime sandwiches, soups, and salads featuring seasonal ingredients. LiLLiPiES will also serve locally-roasted Small World Coffee, as well as ice cream from the bent spoon for those looking for an à la mode treat.
Indoor and outdoor seating will be available for casual eat-in, and takeaway for those who’d like to take advantage of the beautiful Shopping Center courtyard and nearby parks.
LiLLiPiES will continue to participate in both the Princeton Farmers’ Market on Thursdays 11-4, and the West Windsor Farmers’ Market on Saturdays 9-1.
Nice to know, Faith. Thank you for always keeping us gastronomically posted! c
