My first ever cookie exhange. I tentatively show up with my Earl Grey Chocolate Shortbread Coins and Mexican Crackle Cookies (both from “The Art & Soul of Baking”).
Would I measure up? Whew, mine disappeared off the trays and into our tins, right along with everyone else’s.
Humiliation averted, I scurried home with my haul, destined for my niece and nephew’s house on Christmas Day. I don’t even dare open the tin here at home, for fear that one bite will lead to another, and another…well, you get the picture.
Readers, I hope you enjoy your holidays, whatever you celebrate, where ever you are, who ever you are, I wish all the best for all of you, especially into a New Year that bring uncertain times for many. Peace.
I guarantee that everyone loved the Earl Grey Chocolate Shortbread Coins–amazingly rich chocolate taste, don’t you think?
Thanks for coming Faith, and bringing such delicious treats. Happy New Year!
All that chocolate taste came from just 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, which is impressive. If anyone wants to give these a try, the recipe is online at http://www.knivescookslove.com/the_art_and_soul_of_bakin/2008/11/crazy-for-cocoa.html
