Always an interesting new idea from Jim Weaver, owner of Tre Piani and Tre Bar out at Forrestal Village.
Here’s his latest:
“Tre Bar at Tre Piani has launched a new addition to the menu. A new mozzarella bar is now being offered from 5:00 pm Monday through Saturday. The mozzarella bar menu consists of a number of different styles of the creamy fresh cheese including a version made in house every day, buffalo mozzarella from Italy, California and Vermont, Scamorza, an aged mozzarella, Burrata with a creamy ricotta filling, as well as other local specialty cheeses. You can sample these delicious cheeses side by side with a tasty selection of condiments such as roasted eggplant salad, homemade cherry jam and fresh vine ripened tomatoes.
In addition Tre Bar offers a large selection of wines by the glass or bottle, wine flights and a specialty cocktail list. You can also enjoy your evening on our new outdoor lounge furniture. Happy hour is from 5:00-7:00 Monday through Friday.”
Above you see my own photo of Burrata, which I had purchased last December from Dolce and Clemente Italian Market at Washington Town Center. By the way, their new cafe, Tavola Calda, in the same complex should be open soon. Road trip!
Oh boy mozzarella bar – burrata here I come.
