Now that’s a salad

SaladThis is my favorite salad of the moment, based on the house salad at DeLorenzo’s Tomato Pies in the Washington Town Center, Robbinsville.  Usually it’s made with spring mix, but I had arugula at home, which went quite well with the fruit-nut story. Theirs has slices of apple, but I usually just throw in dried cranberries.  Some glazed walnuts, white balsamic vinegar (quite different from the red!), olive oil, and I’m all set.  Salad is one of those areas where I go against the tide. I’m not a rabbit. I can only eat so many raw greens. In winter, I’m even less interested.  But this is one salad where I always clean the bowl, every last bite!
