We’re down to the wire for ordering Thanksgiving dishes. A lot of the better restaurants and caterers are offering all sorts of delicious sides and desserts to go with your turkey. Don’t stress, just augment your own dishes with some that are purchased, but made with quality ingredients. For instance:
Wooden Spoon Catering at The Cooperative Kitchen offers everyting from the Turkey on down (Order Deadline is Friday 11/19). Homestyle roasted turkey with sausage & herb stuffing and gravy, maple glazed autumn harvest vegetables, sweet potato mash, haricots verts in orange butter, cranberry chutney.
Plus desserts (many of which I just sampled at their annual open house, haven’t even had time to download the photos yet!) from the Cooperative Kitchen bakers: Simply Nic’s artisanal pumpkin spice shortbread (and other fantastic flavors), The Moonlight Bakers’s apple cranberry strudel, and assorted Lillipies (mini pies).
Pick-ups available 11/24 until 7PM and 11/25 before 11:00am, 609-279-9219.
At Eno Terra (where I had a fantastic birthday dinner last night, more on that soon!), you can order free-range turkey and all the trimmings until November 22, with pickup on Nov. 24 after 2:00pm. Call 497-1777.
And don’t forget the Whole Earth Center! Order sides from the deli by November 19 and pies from the bakery by November 22. Organic turkeys can be ordered by tomorrow, November 18!
Is it all just too much? Throw in the towel yourself, in a most delicous way and dine out, but in a really good spot:
My family is having TG dinner at Tre Piani for the third year running, and we just love it. The appetizers and desserts are buffet, but the main course and wonderful sides are served at the table. Gracious and delicious!
And at the Frog and the Peach, the Three Course Prix Fixe Menu, of turkey with traditional trimmings as well as selections from their fall menu (see link) is $52 per person not including tax and tip.
